A few hours ago, Manchester United confirmed via their official Twitter page that they have re-signed five time ballon d’or winner and former Real Madrid’s star, Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus.

The tweet from Manchester United announcing Cristiano Ronaldo as a new red devil got over a million likes in one hours, breaking Lionel Messi’s PSG record of 947 thousand likes.

Following Manchester City’s recent decline in pursuing the 36 year old forward, Manchester United moved in and hijacked the deal, making Cristiano Ronaldo a red devil once more after 12 years of leaving the prestigious club (2009-2021).

According to multiple reports,Cristiano Ronaldo made Manchester United his choice after a phone call from his former childhood coach,Sir Alex Ferguson who is also a Manchester United’s legend.

Some notable Manchester United players like Jadon Sancho,Marcus Rashford,Bruno Fernandes and David De Gea have reacted to the news,expressing their surprise and happiness.

Marcus Rashford who couldn’t contain his excitement took to his verified Twitter page to wish his role model welcome, saying it was an understatement that he was happy as he will finally get a chance to play alongside his role model.

Recall that Cristiano Ronaldo was previously linked heavily with a move to Manchester City this summer,as the Portuguese star wanted a move out of Juventus,Italy.
