MC Oluomo Thanks Sanwo-Olu Over His Appointment As Parks Chairman, Says Peace and Order Will Continue At Parks in Lagos state
The newly appointed Lagos State Chairman of Motor Parks Management, Alhaji Dr Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo), on behalf of the members thanked the state governor, HE Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for appointing him has the chairman.
Mc Oluomo also thanked the governor for ensuring peace at all motor parks and garages in the state since his purported suspension/withdrawal from the National Union of Roads Transport Workers ( NURTW).
The chairman plead to the members to work diligently by continued to maintain peace and tranquillity in all motor parks, garages and environs in the state.
He said; “I want to thank Mr governor for this golden privilege to serve the state in this capacity, Lagos state as done us a great favor so employ all members that we must return the favor so every members must go and revaluation of their voters card.
I will continue to law and abide citizens, work harder always to maintain the peace of our beloved Lagos state and bring all on board to ensure smooth running of the affairs of the motor parks and garages across the state.”
It would be recalled that the Lagos state governor in a statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy Gbenga Omotoso, named Akinsanya chairman and 24 others as members of the motor parks management.
That statement read; “this is in fulfilment of Government’s promise to ensure that events in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) are not allowed to threaten law and order
The Government has, therefore, exercised its constitutional powers to ensure that no vacuum, which can disrupt the peace of our dear state, is allowed to exist in the parks. This is a duty we owe all Lagosians and visitors.”
