The immediate past Ambassador to the Republic of Benin and former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai has called for unity among party members in the All Progressives Congress, APC so that the party would win the February 25 presidential election convincingly.

Buratai explained that President Muhammadu Buhari has done his best for the country and the party and should therefore be supported to deliver victory to the party instead of the ongoing distractions.

He noted through a piece he personally signed that “Those really against the emergence of the APC presidential candidate are not in the Villa but are forces both internal and external,” the highly rated intelligent former Army boss stated.

The full statement reads:

These are times of high political activities that give rise to tension and suspicions within and without political parties. This calls for restraint, understanding and calm in all political utterances. Party unity and trust must be the watchword.

Those really against the emergence of the APC Presidential Candidate are not in the Villa but are forces both internal and external. It was initiated externally and being orchestrated or being clandestinely pursued in collaboration with some unsuspecting internal elements.

There should be total trust of the APC Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to deliver the next administration under APC Government. There should be party unity to forge a common front to maintain the lead in the current campaign mobilisation of Nigerians in order to win all the elections especially the Presidential election on 25 February 2023.

The APC under President Muhammadu Buhari has already worked hard for the nation and has rescued the country from being a failed state in 2015. Therefore, irrespective of fuel scarcity, currency colouring or scheming against Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC will win the 2023 elections by the Grace of God.
