The 7th edition of the Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF) concluded with a groundbreaking award ceremony that celebrated the unparalleled achievements of filmmakers from across Africa. The festival, which attracted entries from various countries, saw Nigeria, Uganda, and Ghana emerging as the undisputed champions, bagging an astounding number of prestigious accolades.

1. Best Screenplay

Kamsi by Uzodinma Okpechi (Nigeria)

2. Best Short Film

Maama Wange by Masadde Isaa Yusuf (Uganda)

3. Best Student/Experimental film

Melediction by SSENYONDO MARVIN (Uganda)

4. Best Animation

Mission to Simba by Denis Junior Dhikusooka (Uganda)

 

5. Best Make-up

Widow’s Gift by Juliet Ibrahim (Ghana)

6. Best Costume

Karamoja by MATHEW HENRY NABWISO (Uganda)

7. Best Production Design

The tale of our Times by Jerry Sesanga (Uganda)

8. Best Sound Track

Kamsi by Uzodinma Okpechi (Nigeria)

 

Bana Bakwai by Ali Nuhu (Nigeria)

9. Best Special/Visual Effect

The Kitara Chronicles by YIGA SADAT (Uganda)
