Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has once again demonstrated his commitment to the spiritual and social wellbeing of his constituents by sponsoring 190 Muslim pilgrims from Ogun West Senatorial District for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
The pilgrims, who departed Nigeria today, were led by the Chief Imam of Ilaro and Secretary General of the League of Imams and Alfas in Ogun State, Sheikh Tajudeen Adewunmi. Before departure, Sheikh Adewunmi addressed the pilgrims, urging them to remain focused, disciplined, and spiritually committed throughout the pilgrimage. He reminded them that the Hajj is not just a religious obligation but a life-changing spiritual journey that demands patience, humility, and devotion.
Senator Adeola’s sponsorship is part of his broader efforts to support religious harmony and community development in Ogun West. Over the years, he has continued to invest in the lives of his people through infrastructure, education, and faith-based initiatives. His gesture has been widely praised by religious leaders and community members, who see it as a testament to his dedication to serving the people.
As the pilgrims begin their sacred journey to the Holy Land, they carry the prayers and hopes of their families and communities, seeking divine blessings and a successful Hajj experience.
