
Rukayat Waheed Abebi, professionally known as Abebi Ayala, the Woman Leader of Fuji music with an illustrious career spanning 26 years has defied odds and emerged as a beacon of hope for female artists in the industry.
Abebi Ayala’s musical journey began in 1999, driven by passion and determination. After years of perseverance, she released her debut album, “Starting Point,” in 2012, featuring hits like “Abebi lo min sere,” “Owo Adura mi ti Mo te,” and “Appreciation.” Her sophomore album, “Step-up,” dropped in 2022, with tracks “Ti olorun ba nse eeee,” “Abebi lo min sere,” and “Appreciation.”
As a female Fuji artist, she faced numerous challenges, including health issues and accidents. Despite these setbacks, she remained committed to her craft, earning respect and admiration from fans and peers alike.
She believes that female artists are often behind due to lack of respect, pride, and arrogance. To bridge this gap, she advises female artist to communicate effectively, avoiding arguments and arrogance, adapt to changing circumstances and behaviors. Also, to be mindful of their words and actions.
