Please accept my congratulations to you and the committee on the Oyo at 50 celebrations, and my commendation for your leadership in organizing the programme thus far.
I wish to respectfully draw attention to an observation regarding the entertainment lineup. While the events have featured several contemporary hip-hop acts, there appears to be limited inclusion of indigenous Fuji artists who are deeply representative of Oyo State’s cultural heritage.
Notably, respected artistes such as Saheed Osupa, Askari Fuji, Rasheed Ayinde, SK Sensation (FUMAN National President), Tiri Leather, Muri Thunder, Shanko Rasheed, Ashabi Barritide (Omo Barrister), Alani Messiah, Idris Aloma, and Taye Cellular have not been featured. Their absence is concerning, given the cultural significance of Fuji music to the identity and history of Oyo State.
I trust this observation will be received in the spirit of constructive engagement, with a view to ensuring balanced cultural representation in the celebration.
Yours sincerely,
E-signed
Alhaji Arems (Baba Fuji)
