The Senior Pastor of Genesis Global Church, Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe, has called on believers across the nation to embrace peace, tolerance, and mutual respect as Ramadan begins.

Addressing members of the media via chat with Alhaji Arems, the Prophet emphasized that accepting and respecting other faiths is not a sign of weakness, but a demonstration of spiritual maturity.

“As Ramadan commences, we acknowledge that our Muslim brothers and sisters are entering a sacred season of fasting, prayer, and reflection,” he stated. “While we stand firmly in our Christian faith, we must also stand firmly in love.”

He explained that respect does not equate to compromise. According to him, Christians can uphold their convictions while honoring the dignity and freedom of others to practice their beliefs peacefully.

“Acceptance is not surrender,” he noted. “It is understanding that we share communities, we share a nation, and above all, we share humanity. Our faith teaches us to love our neighbors, not to compete with them.”

The cleric further stressed that in a multi-religious society, peaceful coexistence is essential for growth and stability. He encouraged believers to use the Ramadan season as an opportunity to promote unity rather than division.

“The world is watching the Church,” he added. “They are not only listening to what we preach; they are observing how we behave. Let our conduct reflect Christ. Let our words build bridges, not walls.”

He concluded by extending goodwill to all Muslims observing Ramadan, praying that the season would foster deeper reflection, discipline, and peace within communities.

“In times like this, love must lead. Respect must guide. And peace must prevail,” he affirmed.

As Ramadan unfolds, his message stands clear, strong faith and respectful coexistence can walk hand in hand, strengthening both community and nation.
