Prophet Israel Ogundipe, founder of Genesis Global Church, has denied viral social media claims alleging that he warned the late Wale, a known associate of Sam Larry, to distance himself before the road accident that reportedly claimed his life.
The claims, which have circulated widely across Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms in recent days, allege that the cleric made the remarks during a TikTok livestream. The posts further claim he warned Wale about an impending danger surrounding Sam Larry and suggested that the warning was ignored.
However, during a conversation with Alhaji Arems, Prophet Ogundipe categorically denied ever making the statements attributed to him.
“There was no livestream, and I’ve never said anything like that before,” he said.
The cleric also stated that he had no personal knowledge of Wale and only became aware of him after news of the incident began circulating.
“I don’t even know the person. It was only yesterday that I heard about this. I’ve never even set my eyes on the person.”
Prophet Ogundipe further dismissed reports claiming that Wale’s wife had confirmed receiving such a warning from him, insisting that no such interaction ever took place.
“According to the news that I heard about the wife confirming I gave such a message, I never did.”
He added that he had no connection with the deceased or his associates and could not identify any of the individuals mentioned in the viral reports.
“I cannot even say this is what any of them looks like. I know no one, or anyone with such resemblance.”
The clarification also addresses suggestions linking the late Wale to Genesis Global Church. According to the church’s media representative, Wale was never a member of the ministry, contrary to assumptions made by some social media users following the circulation of the viral posts.
As of the time of publication, no video of the alleged TikTok livestream has been made publicly available, and the claims circulating online have not been independently verified. Prophet Ogundipe has maintained that he neither made the statements attributed to him nor had any prior relationship with the deceased.
