It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, Chief Mrs. Adejoke Christiana Adenopo, the Alaga Abiye of WR 1A, Iyalode Isegun General of Ogijo Kingdom, and Fiwagboye of Ososa Land. She departed from this world on the 12th of October, 2023, leaving a legacy that will forever be cherished by her loved ones and the communities she served.
Chief Mrs. Adejoke Christiana Adenopo, also known by her Oriki (Praise Poem), Ọmọ sígbàtí, ọmọ ologoojo ojà, ọmọ tó gbọ́yè, tó gbà oko, ọgbọ́yè ìkìnní iní ota bálẹ, was a shining light in her community. Her Oriki beautifully captures her essence, as someone who was not only a child of great virtue but a true pillar of her people. Her contributions to the Ogijo Kingdom and Ososa Land will be remembered for generations to come.
