All persons engaged in the alleged sexual abuse of a 10-year-old primary six kid at Chrisland Schools in the Victoria Garden City region of Lagos have been summoned by the Lagos State Police Command.
All parties concerned in the incident have been instructed to go to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, today, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, according to the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who informed The PUNCH on Tuesday.
Giving an update on the matter, Hundeyin said, “All the parties involved have been invited to the State Criminal Investigation Department Panti today to give a written statement and further questioning will be done.”
G.I. Azike, the school’s head teacher, and the parents of the female pupil who allege that their daughter was sexually abused during the school’s participation in the World School Games in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, are among those engaged in the Chrisland School girl video.
Though Chrisland school officials stated that the female student was one of 76 students who represented the school at the Dubai event, which took place between March 8 and 14, 2022.
It stated that the claim of r*pe was untrue, noting that the two students engaged in “s*xual misbehaviour” in a game called “Truth or Dare” after lights out, which the school termed as “s*xual misconduct.”
The school authorities subsequently suspended the female student (name withheld) indefinitely, stating that she was “a major actor” in the “immoral act”.
However, the pupil’s mother claimed in a viral video that her daughter was drugged and raped by some of the school’s male students.
The Lagos State Government shuttered all Chrisland Schools in the state indefinitely on Monday, pending the conclusion of a security probe.
1steleven9jatv reports that the Chrisland Schools event was one of the recent depressing incidences of bullying and molestations in secondary schools.
