In the true spirit of International Women’s Day 2026, the Apeke Dynasty Foundation successfully carried out a remarkable outreach to the Female Custodial Facility, Kirikiri. It was a day filled with compassion, encouragement, and a renewed commitment to reminding every woman that regardless of circumstance, dignity, hope, and purpose remain within reach.
The visit was more than a celebration—it was a moment of genuine connection. We shared words of encouragement, donated essential items, and most importantly reassured the women that society has not forgotten them. The smiles, heartfelt conversations, and visible appreciation from the inmates made the experience deeply moving and reaffirmed the importance of extending love and support to every member of our community.
During the interactive session with the inmates, we also identified several cases that require follow-up. As a foundation committed to humanitarian service, we will be taking steps to pursue the bail conditions and possible release of some inmates who appear to be victims of circumstance. This reflects our belief that everyone deserves a second chance and access to justice.
This impactful outreach would not have been possible without the immense support of our Matron, Hon. Mrs. Bola Afolabi, whose guidance and passion for humanitarian service continue to inspire the foundation’s mission of giving hope and empowerment.
