In a shocking turn of events, the home of Alhaji Wasiu Aremu Adeniyi, popularly known as Alhaji Arems, the founder of Arems Entertainment, was robbed on the night of Friday, November 8th, 2024. The incident occurred after Arems was out attending to his hectic work schedule, which saw him return home late at around 10:00 p.m.
After a long day, Arems made a quick stop at a pharmacy to pick up some much-needed medication for body and pain relief. Upon arriving home, he found the electricity out and had to rely on his generator to finish up some extra work. With an early start and several Zoom meetings scheduled for the following day, he took his medication and went to bed.
At around 5:00 a.m. the next morning, Arems noticed his phones were missing from his bedside. He woke his wife, who confirmed that the phones should have been there. Attempts to call the devices, an iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy, were futile as both numbers were unreachable, a rare occurrence for Arems, whose phones are always on.
Upon closer inspection, Arems discovered that the netting on his window had been cut, likely with a razor blade, allowing the thieves to reach in and grab the phones. Further investigation revealed that his wife’s shop, located within the compound, had also been burgled, with various items, including beverages and provisions, stolen.
Outside, Arems found footprints in the sand, which had been recently delivered by a neighbor for construction work. The high pile of sand along the fence likely provided an easy route for the robbers to scale the fence and gain access to the compound.
The incident has left Arems and his family shaken, highlighting the need for increased security measures in their home. The local authorities have been notified, and an investigation is underway to apprehend the culprits responsible for this brazen act.
