
The Fuji music industry has been thrown into deep sorrow following the heartbreaking news of the passing of Olatunji Michael Ayodele, the 37-year-old son of renowned Fuji promoter Ayo Jamiu.
Olatunji, described by family and friends as a calm, promising, and hardworking young man, died on Friday, December 5, 2025, after battling a severe brain condition. His illness had required urgent medical intervention at a specialist hospital in Ibadan, where doctors requested ₦10 million for surgery. The family had already deposited ₦5 million, but the procedure had not commenced before the tragic loss occurred.
The news has sent shockwaves across the Fuji industry, drawing sympathy from fans, colleagues, and stakeholders. Among those who expressed deep grief is the Prominent promoter, Baba Fuji, Alhaji Wasiu Aremu (CEO, Arems Entertainment), who joined the family of Ayo Jamiu in mourning and offered heartfelt condolences.
