
International music promoter, Baba Gaji has extended heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji Monsuru Sharafa Arowose on the occasion of his turbaning and award ceremony, describing the honour as a well-deserved recognition of years of loyalty, service, and commitment to Islam. In celebrating Alhaji Arowose, Baba Gaji also commended Yaya Abatan Ismaila Central Mosque, Ogba-Ijaiye, Lagos, for sustaining a culture that honours dedication and upholds the values of faith, leadership, and community responsibility.
The historic ceremony is scheduled to hold on Sunday, 18th January 2026, at the Oragon Event Centre, Ebun Street, off Yaya Abatan Road, Ogba, Lagos, by 12 noon. The event is expected to bring together respected religious leaders, community elders, families, and well-wishers, all united in celebrating a life of service and a new chapter of responsibility.
Alhaji Monsuru Sharafa Arowose, a committed member of Yaya Abatan Ismaila Central Mosque, will be turbaned in recognition of his contributions to the growth and stability of the mosque and the wider community. The turbaning symbolizes trust, honour, and a renewed call to serve with wisdom, humility, and integrity.
The ceremony will be graced by notable guests, including Alhaji Yekini Shuaib, Alhaja Salimot Oluide Ramboye, Alhaja Jollilat Olawunmi Ajala, Alhaja Mariam Lawal (USA), and Alhaja Kuponiyi (London). Also expected are Alhaji Olalekan Oki-Bakare, General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), and Alhaja Seyidah Omolola Shifau, Founder and President of Kiki Abass Global Family.
Spiritual direction for the day will be led by the Chief Imam, Alhaji Imam Abdul-Raheem Abdul-Quadri, while the presence of the Royal Father of the Day, HRM Adeola Ismail Abatan, will add royal and cultural depth to the occasion.
