In Case You Missed It
Nigerian veteran juju singer, Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi has shared a post on social media a few days after allegations were made against him for neglecting his late son, Olalekan Obey Fabiyi when he was alive.
The veteran singer lost his 48-year-old son, Olalekan Fabiyi a few weeks ago.
A report alleged that Ebenezer Obey’s neglect contributed to his son’s death.
Lekan was allegedly neglected because the singer had him out of wedlock.
Sharing a video of himself praising God, Ebenezer Obey claimed he stood strong in Christ no matter the enemy’s plans.
He wrote: “Psalms 18:2 -The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
“We stand strong in Christ no matter what the enemy does, we would never fall and we would continue to grow and shine in Christ”, he said.
In a statement, he expressed grief over his son’s death, stating he tried all he could as a father to help fight against his son’s addiction and weakness but to no avail.
“The doctors called me six months ago to inform me that Yinka has less than six months to live; this was very painful and bad news that a father must not hear about his son.
“l went back to the Holy Spirit to teach me what to do, and the result of my communication with the Holy Spirit is the launching of this ministry.
“I have received several condolence messages from all and sundry. l appreciate and thank you all for your love and concern.
“Once again, I appreciate all condolences, but let us rather turn further condolences to prayer support of this new ministry to help those who are in pain of alcoholism and drug addiction.
“Job 22:21 says ‘Aquaint now thyself with God, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.’ Get out of Alcoholism, Get out of Drugs. Jesus Loves you”, he stated then.
