The Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists (NGIJ) has urged Nigerians to be steadfast, resilient and prayerful amidst the insecurity challenges facing the country.
NGIJ National President, Ayoyemi Mojoyinola made this call on Friday in a statement signed by the Public Relation Officer of the Guild, Mr Femi Oyewale and made available to newsmen in Lagos to felicitate with Muslim faithful in this year’s Eid celebration.
He advised Muslim faithful across the country to celebrate with modesty and be security conscious before, during and after the Eid celebration.
The Guild used the opportunity to sympathize with victims of terrorists attack in Kuje Correctional centre, Abuja and Presidential convoy in Katsina state.
NGIJ therefore tasked Federal Government to step up security architecture across the country, adding that this is the best time to deploy technology for security of the nation.
The President appreciated NGIJ members for their support and commitment towards Guild’s programmes and activities.
