PK1ST, Obesere And Friends Concert has come and gone and the memory of the event would last very long in the heart of the Ibadan-born Fuji lord, Alhaji Abbass Akande Obesere, having different musicians from various genres stood in for him as they all participated in the concert with fans from all walks of life present to witness the epoch-making event. Verily, it was a moment to be remembered.
The event that has in attendance the big shots in music industry like Alhaji Sule Adio Atawewe, Alhaji Sule Alao Adekunle Malaika, Alhaji Muri Alabi Thunder, Igwe Remi Aluko, Evangelist Esther Igbekele, Alhaji Kehinde Oriyomi, Alhaja Azeezat Otibiya Reign, Alhaji Rasheed Adekunle Shanko, Small Doctor, Sunny Nneji, Rugged man, Seriki and host of others has marked a new beginning in the music industry, especially, the Fuji kingdom having pulled such feat.
The event has provided an avenue for our music acts of different minds to meet and discuss the way forward on how to move the industry to the next level.
Alhaji Sule Adio Atawewe who played a very significant role at the concert, told journalists that Obesere has really set a pace for peace to reign in the music industry, he said the concert served as an avenue to unite the Fuji musicians.
“We don’t need enmity in the music industry again, we should learn to extend love to each other, love is what we all have witnessed here today with this concert in place. This has really pointed out to every one of us that we are brothers and sisters, let’s embrace love.” Obesere told journalists at the concert.
As an observant and a witness of the concert, I think Alhaji Abobagunwa Abass Qudus Akande Obesere PK1ST deserves praise, encomium, and great kudos for holding the concert at such a time when the economy is not friendly for all and sundry.
As I said earlier, the concert has played a significant role in building a good relationship among the musicians in the country. Apart from using the concert to bring both Fuji, gospel, Islamic, and hip-hop singers together under one roof, the Paramount king of music also used the event to tell the whole world that he had settled his score and buried the hatchet with Olori Omooba Akile Ijebu and Mayegun of Yoruba land, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Omogbolahan and to many they said Obesere Papa Tosibe deserves commendation.
