In the spirit of Ramadan, Foluso Omosebi Care Foundation extended its philanthropic outreach by visiting Fiwakesin Mosque on Ladipo Street, Mushin, Lagos State, on Tuesday.

The team, led by Mrs Laide Gold, was warmly received by the Chief Imam, Alhaji Fiwakesin, a 102-year-old cleric, who was accompanied by his wife, children, and members of the congregation. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude as the mosque welcomed the foundation’s representatives.

As part of its commitment to supporting communities during Ramadan, Foluso Omosebi Care Foundation donated essential food items and provisions, including bags of rice, cartons of noodles, cooking oil, beverages, and other household necessities, to aid the fasting faithful.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Mrs Laide Gold emphasised the importance of giving back to society, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, when generosity and charity are highly encouraged.

“Ramadan is a time for reflection, kindness, and community support. At Foluso Omosebi Care Foundation, we believe in uplifting those in need, and we are honoured to extend our hands of fellowship to the Muslim community here today,” she stated.

Mrs Foluso Omosebi, CEO of the foundation, reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to humanitarian work. In a message, she assured the community that the foundation would not rest on its oars in its mission to support underprivileged individuals and families.

“Our goal is to make a lasting impact in the lives of those who need support the most. We will continue to extend a helping hand to communities across Nigeria, ensuring that no one is left behind, especially during significant seasons like Ramadan,” she pledged.

In response, Chief Imam Alhaji Fiwakesin expressed heartfelt gratitude, offering special prayers for the foundation and its benefactors. He praised their act of kindness, describing it as a significant contribution that would ease the burden on many families observing the fast.

“May Almighty Allah bless and reward you abundantly for this kind gesture. Your support will go a long way in providing relief to many members of our congregation,” the Chief Imam said.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the mosque’s leadership, as members of the congregation joined in prayers for the continued success and growth of Foluso Omosebi Care Foundation.

This initiative is part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to empower and support underprivileged communities, ensuring that they do not lack essential needs during religious and festive seasons.
