Since the return of the Lyrical King, King Saheed Osupa, many of us have found ourselves back in a different kind of classroom—not the one with walls and boards, but the one where lyrics become lessons and music becomes wisdom. For those of us who truly listen and reflect, his recent expressions are not just songs; they are reminders, corrections, and guidance.
From my own understanding, one thing stands out clearly: KSO genuinely desires peace, growth, and progress within the Fuji industry.
And that is why it becomes quite disheartening to observe that while such a message of unity is being preached, some individuals are still choosing the path of division—engaging in unnecessary social media conflicts, dragging, and distractions that do not add value to the industry.
That is why he felt the need to speak again through his music.:
“A ṣe gbogbo nǹkan ki Fuji le lọ sí wájú, gbogbo nǹkan kò le lọ déédéé, ìdí ìbàjẹ́ lẹ́yìn dúró sí, béèyàn bá kú tó fẹ́ bá Fuji jẹ́, a rí yọnu.”
The message here is deep and direct :
“We have done everything within our capacity to move Fuji forward, but instead of supporting the progress, some have chosen to stand behind and contribute to its setback. If this continues, it will not be taken lightly.”
To me, this is not about pointing fingers or calling out any specific individual. It is a collective message—a call for reflection to everyone who is part of the Fuji ecosystem.
Because the truth remains :
No industry can grow where there is constant division.
No legacy can be sustained where there is lack of unity.
Over the years, KSO has consistently emphasized that one of the major challenges facing Fuji music is disunity among its practitioners and followers. And once again, he is reminding us that if Fuji must attain the global recognition and respect it deserves, then the focus must shift from rivalry to collaboration, from conflict to support, from ego to purpose.
So this is a sincere appeal to all Fuji artistes, stakeholders, and fans:
Let us choose unity over division.
Let us promote the music more than the misunderstandings.
Let us support one another genuinely, not selectively.
Because at the end of it all :
A win for one is a win for Fuji.
And when Fuji wins, everyone connected to it shares in that glory.
The success of one artiste does not reduce another—it elevates the entire genre.
May Almighty God continue to bless all Fuji artistes—both established and upcoming. May He grant them wisdom, unity, and long-lasting success. May He strengthen pioneers and sustain the legacy they have built. And may He have mercy upon and grant eternal rest to the great legend Sikiru Ayinde Barrister (Late SAB), whose foundation gave birth to what we celebrate today. May Fuji music continue to grow beyond borders, and may peace reign among all who carry its banner.
Take home.
Fuji is bigger than any individual. Let us protect it together.
