I hope this message finds you well. I am Queen Omomayowa Nofisat Oyeboade, a resident of Iboko town, sagam express road, Papalanto ward, and also a journalist deeply concerned about the pressing issue of our road conditions.
I want to express our gratitude for your ongoing efforts to maintain and grade roads within our local government. However, the road situation in Iboko town has reached a critical point that requires immediate attention, especially the access road leading to the main town, known as “Alaala road.” The poor condition of the roads has significantly affected our daily lives. Many children are unable to attend school, particularly during the rainy season, as accessing safe routes is a challenge.
Workers face difficulties commuting, affecting their ability to earn a living. This situation has also led to numerous residents relocating their businesses and families due to the ongoing issues.
Investors have shown reluctance to establish their businesses in our community because of low sales and accessibility concerns.
Moreover, as a journalist, I have personally experienced the adverse effects when I was unable to access my home due to poor road conditions. My vehicle was vandalized during this period, which has only added to the distress faced by many in our community.
l urge you, Hon. Chairman sir , to include Iboko town in your excellent initiatives for road maintenance and grading.
Improving our roads would not only restore safety and accessibility but would also enhance the overall quality of life in our community and stimulate economic growth.
