Popular Ikorodu estate and land agent, Chief Kamorudeen Lamina has distanced himself from the last Saturday crisis in the Gberigbe area of the state ,where a policeman and two other people were killed.
Sir K, as he is fondly called, condemned the incident in totality and urged the police in the state to ensure a tthorough investigation into the incident.
Sir K, who is the Borokinni Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land said that the clarification was necessary following the rumours and twisted reports of the incident on social media platforms.
The Ikorodu agent said “I have no business in Gberigbe and the police have arrested some of the people, who took part in the killings. Why are people still mentioning my name.”
“All through Saturday I was attending the the wedding ceremony of the son of Oba Abigi Ojutomoro, Oba Segun Ogboye in Sagamu,Ogun State”
Chief Lamina also added that “there were many other monarchs,including the Elefire of Efire ,Oba Musa Adeniyi and I did not come back home until later in the night.”
“Because of my popularity in Nigeria ,anything in Ikorodu is easily linked to me whether I am involved or not but I don’t have any business in Gberigbe .”
Sir K also added that “the people should allow the police to do their work I leant that some of the suspects have been arrested by the police. They should tell the police, who sent them to Gberigbe.”
The Borokinni Aare Ona Kakanfo also denied stationing any policeman in Gberigbe ,when he said ” how can I station policemen in Gberigbe Am I the DPO or the Area commander. I don’t have any business there and I did not request for police from anybody to be drafted there.”
He also said that, “What I heard was that an estate requested for policemen to be drafted there, when land thugs were harrassing and disturbing them I have no business with that. I am not the owner of the estate.”
