Engineer Joe Igbokwe was on his Facebook account this afternoon to narrate the story of how the Lagos state government and Governor Fashola came to the aid of the family of his brother that died after having an encounter with LASTMA officials.
Joe Igbokwe said the young man in the picture above is Chisom Igbokwe, he said the young man is one of the children of his brother that died after having an encounter with LASTMA officials. Joe Igbokwe said back in 2010 Benjamin Igbokwe his brother who uses his bus for transportation business had an encounter with LASTMA officials, there was a scuffle and the LASTMA officials tried to drag his brother out of the bus, in that process his brother slipped out of the bus and hit his head on a concrete pavement, and his brother did not survive that accident because he died.
Joe Igbokwe said he reported the incident to Governor Babatunde Fashola and he also told Fashola that his brother that died is a married man with 7 children, he said after Fashola heard this he gave his brother’s family a 3 bedroom flat at the Ojokoro area of Lagos state and he also gave them N5 million for upkeep. Joe Igbokwe testified that 12 years after that incident happened 4 of his brother’s children have graduated from Lagos State University and 3 of them are still studying there. Joe Igbokwe noted that the young man on the right hand side of the picture below is the third child of his brother and he is currently a PhD student at LASU, he said his brother’s first son currently works with the Lagos state government and his brother’s first daughter is now married.
