
Kayode Moses Oluwaseun, professionally known as Mod3st (pronounced Modest), is a Nigerian hip-hop/trap artist and producer whose sound blends emotional depth with bold sonic innovation. Originally from Ondo State, he was born in Lagos and raised in Abuja, where he developed a resilient, self-reliant mindset under the guidance of his mother values that now shape the core of his music.
Mod3st began his musical journey in 2013 as a teenager, freestyling at local events before evolving into full-scale music production. While studying Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), he spent five years honing his craft, collaborating with underground artists and building a reputation for his lyrical depth and originality.

Drawing inspiration from heavyweights like Olamide, Drake, and Travis Scott, Mod3st has carved out a distinctive “new-school” sound he calls Underwrld a fusion of melodic flows, layered harmonies, and raw storytelling. His music explores themes of struggle, healing, ambition, and self-expression, resonating deeply with a new generation seeking authenticity.
His project, led by the single “Berry Blast,” captures the spirit of youthful rebellion and freedom, blending Afropop rhythms with rage hip-hop energy. With a rapidly growing fanbase across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, Mod3st is steadily positioning himself as one of Nigeria’s most compelling emerging voices.
