The General Overseer of Genesis Global Church, Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe, has drawn public attention to the deplorable state of Egbado Road in Dalemo, Alakuko. The renowned cleric, popularly known as Genesis, led a walk alongside members of the press on Wednesday to inspect the road and allow journalists to witness firsthand the hardship residents are facing. He lamented that the road, which connects several communities, has been left in a pitiable condition for too long.
Prophet Ogundipe called on the Chairman of Ifo Local Government to take swift and decisive action in repairing the dilapidated road. According to him, the neglect has caused untold suffering for road users and business owners, as movement in and out of the area has become increasingly difficult. He emphasized that a functional road network is not a luxury but a necessity for any developing community.
In his remarks, the prophet expressed concern that many residents have been forced to relocate to other local government areas due to the poor state of the road, which has crippled commercial activities and disrupted daily life. He urged the government and relevant authorities to prioritize the rehabilitation of Egbado Road, stressing that the lives and livelihoods of people in Dalemo and its environs depend on it.
