As preparation for the Aje Festival, which is billed to take place in the palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi mounts, popular Nollywood Actor-cum-hip-hop act, Seyi Ariyo aka Shebaby is set to drop her new single titled Aje.
The new single she plans to drop on the 14th of February is dedicated to the goddess of wealth, while the music itself characterized the importance of wealth in the life of a man.
In one of her posts on her social media handle, this beautiful hip-hop act said,
My beautiful people in Nigeria and in the diaspora, this is shebaby, your beautiful actor and a rapper, I have this new single that would be dropped on the 14th of February to mark the month of Love that we are in, and also to commemorate the festival of ‘Aje’ coming up in Ile Ife, Osun state.
“Aje my new single x rays the importance of wealth in our lives, the myth, and perception of the Yorubas about it, these we have put together as a single, featuring Kennykeys, a united kingdom based Nigerian.
Also, we shall join the king, Ooni of life, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, and Iyalaje Oodua, Chief Mrs. Toyin Kolade in Ile Ife to celebrate this year’s edition of odun Aje… o ma loud gan an ni o!”
She stressed further, “Dropping this single, especially at a time when our highly respected King, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi is celebrating the annual festival, its a rare homage to be paid to the king and the people of south-west Nigeria.
Shebaby’s new single, Aje features a Nigerian UK-based musician, Kennykeys.
As the Aje Festival is billed to commence from 25th February to 28th, a video shoot meant for the single would be shot during the festival as Kennykeys would arrive in Nigeria soon for the recording of the video shoot and coming as a special guest.
