Nigerian singer, Habeeb ‘Portable’ Okikiola has hit the streets to show love to his people after meeting his bail conditions getting released.
He was released on bail on Monday , evening after being remanded by court over assault of police officers that attempted to arrest him.
Portable was earlier transported to the Ilaro Correctional Centre in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State on the orders of the court.
It may be recalled that he was arraigned on five counts bordering on assault before the court presided over by the chief magistrate, A.S Shoneye.
Portable, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The presiding judge said the offences are bailable and granted him bail with bail bond of N300,000 and N500,000 as well two sureties who must reside within the jurisdiction of the honorable court.
The case was adjourned to April 26 for trial.
The singer, on Tuesday, distribute relief items to the less privileged members of society as his own way of thanking God for his freedom.
A video which is currently making the rounds online shows Portable surrounded by a crowd that wanted their own share.
Last week, Portable had a heated exchange with men of the Ogun State Police command that stormed his restaurant to arrest him.
The Zazuu star resisted arrest and challenged them to know the reason for showing up and went on Instagram live to reveal that a Yahoo boy hired 20 police officers to intimidate him.
“Show me your arrest warrant. Why did you come to my office to arrest people? You came and everyone was running. A yahoo boy sent police to arrest me just because I advised him to stop doing yahoo and vent into music.
”Are the police and Yahoo boys now working together? I don’t do Yahoo. I’m a musician. If you want to invite me to your station, you will invite me with money,” he said in a viral video.
The security personnel were eventually forced to leave his office after their failed attempt to take him to the station.
