Ibrahim Obanikoro has regained the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives ticket for a second term.
The son of former minister Musiliu Obanikoro lost the house of representatives ticket to Oye Elegushi at the primary election held on Friday, May 27, 2022.
Elegushi got 25 votes while Obanikoro secured 23 votes.
We, however, learned that the party leadership has directed Elegushi to relinquish the ticket to Obanikoro.
“Party supremacy as Oye Elegushi relinquishes APC ticket to Ibrahim Obanikoro.” Akanni Oladimeji Balogun, key trumpeter of the happenings within the Lagos APC confirmed with a post on his Facebook page.
This development salvages one of the two defeats that saw former Minister Musliu Obanikoro lose his bid to return to the Senate.
