Everyone prays to be as rich, or even richer than the likes of Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga and Femi Otedola. This is because these men are three of the most successful men not only in Nigeria but also in Africa.
This was also the goal of a popular Nigerian Yoruba musician who claimed he would have been richer than two of Nigeria’s prominent Nigerian businessmen, Aliko Dangote and Mike Adenuga, if he was born abroad.
This musician is none other than the popular Yoruba Fuji Musician, Abass Akande Obesere.
Obesere, in an interview with TRIBUNE ONLINE sometimes ago, claimed that he would have been richer than the likes of Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga and other prominent Nigerian businessmen only if he was born in Tier 1 countries (US, UK, Canada) where he would make more money because his type of music would be well appreciated.
Using Late Pop Star, Micheal Jackson as an example, Obesere said Micheal was a successful singer who was richer than some prominent American businessmen, and if he (Michael) could do it, he would do even more.
In his words, he said;
The late Micheal Jackson was very much more blessed and relevant than some rich people in the US even years after his demise. Maybe, I would have been richer than the likes of Aliko Dangote or Mike Adenuga, but I still give thanks to God.
fact, no year passes without that same me acquiring a new house and cars. In fact, I still give out cars, land, or houses to people every year.
What’s your thoughts on this? Do you think a musician can be richer than the likes of Dangote and Otedola in Nigeria, or you also support the motion which says that businessmen are the richest people in the world?
