With the next presidential elections fast approaching, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday the 5th, held it’s presidential campaign rally at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos – alongside Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, and Ifeanyi Okowa, his running mate, in attendance, were Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP national chairman, Emmanuel Udom and Duoye Diri (governors of Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa, respectively) as well as Bukola Saraki, the former Senate president.
In addition to these names, other notable figures graced the campaign grounds and, the King of Fuji, Saheed Osupa had the privilege to headline the musicsphere, a feat which sees him take a neutral spot unlike most other musical acts trading within his genre and actively supporting political parties. In a bid to further cement his name in the sands of time, the King of Fuji shut down the campaign grounds, irrespective of party choice – it’s left to see how others follow suit and engage without favoritism.
