Oodua People’s Congress reformed (OPCR) leader, Ambassador Dare Adesope, has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of his 10th coronation anniversary.

In a statement released on Monday, Adesope described the monarch as a “symbol of unity, wisdom, and cultural revival” among the Yoruba people and beyond.

“Kabiyesi’s reign has brought renewed hope to the Yoruba race. His voice for youth empowerment, peace, and unity is a legacy that will endure,” Adesope said.

He commended the Ooni’s efforts in promoting African tradition, culture, and economic development across the South-West region and called on other traditional rulers to emulate his leadership style.

Adesope, who has been vocal on issues affecting Yoruba communities, also urged the Ooni to continue using his royal platform to foster dialogue and security in the region.

“We celebrate a king whose throne is not just symbolic, but active in shaping a better future for our people. I pray for more wisdom, peace, and longevity on the throne,” he added.

Oba Ogunwusi was crowned as the 51st Ooni of Ife in December 2015 and has since been a respected voice for youth, culture, and pan-African unity.
