*“You Cannot Claim Loyalty While Sponsoring Parallel Excos in Akinyele PDP” — Group challenges Kagara’s loyalty claims*

The Spokesperson of the Akinyele Positive Movement in Akinyele LG PDP, Mr. Ademola Akeem has described the recent claims of loyalty to the party by the Secretary and Political Head of Akinyele East LCDA, Hon. Ahmed Kazeem Adekunle (Kagara), as misleading and far from the reality within the party in Akinyele Local Government.

In statement made in response to the purported news flying around where Hon KAGARA was laying claims to been loyal to the GSM led PDP in Oyo State.

In his words he said, “Hon. Kagara’s attempt to portray himself as a loyalist of the party structure is surprising to many of us who understand what has been happening within the PDP in Akinyele. For quite some time now, he and Honourable Deacon Olatunde Kehinde, A second term house of Assembly Member representing Akinyele state Constituency 2 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, have been at the center of actions that have consistently divided the party rather than strengthening the structure they now claim to respect,” Ademola stated.

He further explained that the internal crisis within the party began when the duo allegedly attempted to impose their loyalists on the leadership of the Akinyele Local Government PDP as party executives. “When their efforts to force their preferred candidates on the party executives failed, they resorted to organizing and supporting parallel party executives, a move that has continued to create confusion and unnecessary tension among party members,” he said.

Ademola also alleged that the parallel structure has been sustained through the influence and resources of the local government. “It is even more disturbing that the same individuals claiming loyalty to the party are the ones allegedly funding and sustaining these parallel executives with the commonwealth of Akinyele Local Government entrusted in their care. Such actions are clearly at variance with the principles of party discipline and responsible leadership,” he added.

He therefore urged party leaders and members not to be misled by what he described as public statements designed to distort facts. “We advise our leaders and party faithful to look beyond the rhetoric and examine the true situation within the party in Akinyele Local Government. The PDP must remain united, and those whose actions have contributed to division must retrace their steps in the interest of peace and progress,” Ademola concluded.
