Media sources have it that the younger sister of Bukola Saraki, Gbemisola, has replaced Rotimi Amaechi as the new transportation minister
Before her latest elevation on Tuesday, May 17, Gbemisola was the minister of state for transportation
However, the reported promotion of Gbemisola is yet to be confirmed by the presidency or any presidential media aide
Emerging reports have it that Gbemisola Saraki, the minister of state for transportation, has taken over as minister of transportation following the resignation of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who is running for the presidency.
Gbemisola is the younger sister of Bukola Saraki, a former Senate president who is currently pursuing a presidential ambition on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Business Day reports.
Recall that Amaechi had hinted that he would resign on Monday, May 16 as a member of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Amaechi was part of the outgoing ministers hosted by the president this past week.
