President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred a frontline Yoruba monarch, the Olowu of Owu Kuta in Osun State, Oba Abdulhameed Oyelude Makama Tegbosun III, with the national honour of the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).

This was contained in a circular published by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs on Sunday.

 

Oba Oyelude, a highly detribalised Nigerian and pro-estabishment nationalist of repute, made number 35 on the list of other eminent Nigerians and friends of Nigeria honoured in various categories.

 

According to information, the Osun monarch was picked specially for his integrity and ability to adapt and integrate ideas effectively in solving business and communal problems.

 

True to his nature, Oba Oyelude has always demonstrated that true royalty is not living in vain pomp but in great virtue adorned with humility.

 

In leading his subjects, Oba Makama tries to be just and fair to all, a quality that entrenches his memory in the heart of Kuta people and Osun State in general.
