The Coalition of Yoruba Youth Leaders Forum congratulates His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Adeleke, on his successful re-election as Governor of Osun State.
The Forum commends the people of Osun State for their doggedness, resilience and peaceful participation throughout the electoral process.
Despite the political tension, intense campaigns and various concerns that preceded the election, the people remained determined to exercise their democratic rights.
We appreciate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, election observers, civil society organisations, traditional and religious leaders, the media, political parties, candidates and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful conclusion of the election.
We equally appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the congratulatory phone call he made to the peoples’ Governor and for allowing the will of the people to prevail in Osun State.
The Forum gives all glory to God Almighty for granting Osun State a peaceful electoral process and preserving the lives of its citizens.
Now that the election has come and gone, we appeal to all political parties, candidates, supporters and stakeholders to sheath their swords and put political differences aside.
The election is over; the task of rebuilding Osun has begun.
We urge all stakeholders to work together with Governor Adeleke for the overall development, peace and prosperity of Osun State.
We also call on the Governor to embrace all sides and govern for every citizen, irrespective of political affiliation.
Once again, congratulations to Governor Ademola Jackson Adeleke and the good people of Osun State.
