Former Lagos State Governor and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has declared his intention to contest for Nigeria’s Presidential seat come 2023.
Tinubu made the disclosure during a meeting with leader of Arewa Consultative Forum, Tanko Yakasai in Abuja.
Yakasai in a media interview with Punch Newspaper said Tinubu visited his Abuja residence on Wednesday to solicit support for his (Tinubu’s) presidential ambition.
This confirmation by Yakasai put to rest months of speculation about the former Lagos State Governor’s presidential ambition.
FactualTimes gathered that Tinubu will formally declare his intention to run for president in 2023 general elections before the end of 2022 first quarter.
