Yoruba actress Fausat Balogun, popularly known as Madam Saje, tackled her colleague Modupe Johnson, better known as Fali Werepe, at Yinka’s Quadri’s birthday party last week.
In a video uploaded on Instagram on Monday, Fausat could be seen throwing shades at the actress after Modupe reacted to a birthday speech made by the former.
The drama started when Madam Saje gave a short speech about the celebrant Yinka. In her remark, the actress claimed she has been in the movie industry with Yinka for over 50 years.
Her statement sparked a reaction from Modupe who immediately exclaimed, “ahhh.”
Displeased over her colleague’s reaction, Madam Saje called out Fali, saying that she has been in the industry long before Fali joined.
“Fali, I am not your mate in the industry, let’s say it in public, I don’t talk too much, I am your oga,” Fausat said in Yoruba.
Clearing the air during her own speech, Fali stated that she does not hold any grudge against Madam Saje but only reacted to what she tagged as an exaggeration made by Saje. She added that they have not been in the industry for 50 years as Saje claimed.
“When she said she has been with Yinka for over 50 years, I shouted ‘ahh’ and I am not the only one who shouted. People know when we started filming but we haven’t been in the industry for 50 years. I and Abeni are friends and we can’t fight but we haven’t been in the industry for 50 years,” Fali replied.
