Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has re-appointed Tayo Ayinde as Chief of Staff.

An highly versatile, energetic and charismatic Ayinde clinched the highly coveted office for the second time against all odds and wild speculations.

Ayinde popularly called Buffalo in the political arena has kept a clean slate and maintained a long streak of loyalty, diligence and charisma which saw him serve as chief security detail for eight years to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu then Lagos Governor.

His successful trajectory further landed him the role of the chief of staff to the number one citizen of Nigeria’s commercial capital in 2019 where he again displayed uncommon zest and commitments.

During the recent electioneering process in Lagos, Ayinde played a vital role in the re-election bid of Governor Sanwo Olu during which he served as Director General of the campaign and performed brilliantly well despite the loss of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the Presidential Election in Lagos.

Following the loss of the APC at the Presidential Poll on February 25th, 2023, Ayinde swung into action and salvaged the situation, working tirelessly to see his principal, Gov Sanwo Olu clinching a second term during the March 18th, 2023, Governorship Elections.

Loyalty pays goes a maxim. Ayinde has shown that his loyalty, perseverance, commitment and steadfastness made him retain his position as the Chief of Staff to the Number One Citizen of the State, despite forces who were against his re-emergence.

His experience as an administrator and mobiliser per excellence who gets things done behind the scenes saw seamless coordinations of people, process and resources during Governor Sanwo-olu’s first four years on the saddle. The management of delicate issues such as COVID-19 and Endsars riot in the state bears loud testament.

No doubt, Ayinde has remained committed to the mantra of his Principal, ‘A Greater Lagos Rising’, and has played a significant role towards a gradual actualization of the Mega City agenda.

With Buffalo as the Chief of Staff again in Lagos, the horizon looks quite bright and set for more transformation for the benefits of residents of the state
