Damilola Ayinde Marshal, the daughter of popular Fuji musician, KWAM1 has been endorsed by the Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mustapha Adekunle popularly known as ‘sego’ to contest for the member of Lagos State House Of Assembly.

 

Damilola presented branded caps to Sego during a meeting that seemed like a political consultation ahead of her party’s primaries, All Progressive Congress. This is revealed in a short video released by Damilola.

 

In the video, the NURTW chairman urged party members and supporters to back Damilola’s ambition. He said they should come out in multitudes because she is the only one that can do it. According to Sego, the progress of Surulere is a collective responsibility.

 

Damilola had declared her intention months back to represent Surulere Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly under the APC. She made the announcement through an Instagram post.

 

In the post, she wrote that she is looking forward to serving the good people of Surulere. That her professional experience prepared her for public service and representation.

 

She also described herself as part of a new generation of leaders committed to development and youth inclusion. Damilola Marshall is currently the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism. She is expected to replace the current lawmaker Rotimi Sangodara.
