The Fuji Festival Unity Event, held on August 21, 2024, in Lagos, was a historic milestone in the Fuji music scene, marked by unprecedented unity among the genre’s most iconic artists. Security Concerns And Vandalism :

The festival’s success was marred by a distressing incident involving vandalism and theft. According to a video posted on ALORE TV five hours ago, Barrytide, a notable performer, reported that her vehicle was vandalized, and a substantial amount of money was stolen. Barrytide recounted that, after spending most of her cash at the event and interacting with fans, she discovered that her money, which was securely kept in her vehicle, had been stolen. She was also informed that several other vehicles, including a police officer’s, were vandalized within the LTV 8 compound where the festival took place.

Barrytide expressed her frustration over the lack of adequate security during such a high-profile event. Despite reporting the theft to both security personnel and event organizers, no immediate action was taken. The total loss, including the theft from her younger sibling’s bag and other vehicles, amounted to approximately 300,000 Naira. This incident, occurring around 8 PM, has left Barrytide and others deeply affected, highlighting the security shortcomings at what was supposed to be a celebration of unity and progress.
