How God’s mercy, rather than his own strength, miraculously kept him alive
*What Led To This Occurrence?*
During a phone conversation with his media aide, Oluwaseun Fabiyi, the retired military officer and man of God hailing from ErukuCity, elaborated on the overall situation
At about 2 a.m. on Friday, June 19th/20th, 2026, Apostle Ayoola felt a slight headache when he was about to preach from the pulpit as usual and subsequently instructed one of his sons to retrieve a sachet of medicine to alleviate the discomfort
The son promptly followed instructions to search for headache relief medication within the house. Unbeknownst to him, he mistakenly handed rat poison to the man of God, who, due to the severity of his headache, didn’t verify the contents and instead asked his son to open it and hand it over
Without delay, Apostle Ayoola ingested the substance, like people used to take Alabukun, chasing it down with water. Upon realizing the taste and smell after swallowing the rat poison, he requested the sachet from his son to identify the contents, and discovered that he had consumed a poisonous substance.
As the time approached for him to take the podium and deliver his exaltations, he was beset by an excruciating stomach pain that rapidly spread throughout his body, prompting him to discreetly shift in his seat as he counted down the minutes, acutely aware of the large audience and his growing unease
To avoid causing alarm and maintain the faith of his audience, Apostle Ayoola paused to offer a brief, personal prayer, ensuring a controlled atmosphere and upholding the trust of those who believed in his authentic prophetic anointing.An idea came to him to drink anointing oil, holy water, red oil, and milk as potential antidotes, and, yielding to the voice, he stood up and stepped outside to locate a nearby hospital around 2:19 am on Saturday
Interestingly, the atmosphere was palpable as the congregation eagerly anticipated the prophet’s ministry, expecting a powerful deliverance; however, a brief delay ensued due to the unexpected turn of events, yet the man of God remained composed and assured, reciting scriptures from Mark 16:17-18, Psalm 91, and Psalm 27 as they searched for a nearby hospital
After a prolonged search effort, they successfully located Longe Hospital, a private healthcare institution along Iju-Ishaga, Agbado Road, seemingly guided by a higher power. The medical team on duty sprang into action, efficiently carrying out the necessary procedures, including registration, securing vital information, and conducting a preliminary assessment
Upon checking his blood pressure, which was recorded at a heightened 157/91 resulting from the substance and the body’s internal reaction, immediate treatment was initiated, comprising an antibiotic injection, an injection to counteract the poison, and tablets aimed at providing relief and preventing any potential impact on internal organs
May God be glorified! Apostle Ayoola Oladele returned to the church and effectively led the program he was invited for, which lasted around three hours and ended precisely at 5:11 am. Following this, they drove straight to his church, Letusworship Healing and Salvation Ministries along Oshodi axis of Lagos, and began another treatment session.
Following ingestion, he vomited nearly all of the rat poison and had multiple episodes of diarrhea and vomiting before ultimately recovering fully and regaining his strength. As he fervently prayed for deliverance for his family, relatives, church members, and readers of the testimonies, he recounted receiving numerous distress calls, messages, and prayers from concerned individuals near and far within minutes of the news spreading.
On Sunday, 21st June 2026, he replied briefly, ‘I AM ALIVE,’ giving glory to God for restoring his body to normal.
