The once peaceful community of Adunbun in Itori-Ewekoro, Ogun State, has been thrown into chaos once more. Between the hours of 1am and 2am on February 8, 2025, unknown assailants stormed the area, kidnapping several key figures, including the Baale Kayode Fálọlá of Adunbun, Itori-Ewekoro, the Akọwe Rántí Fálọlá and Folarin Kudaisi of the community, and several chiefs and titled individuals.
During the raid, the attackers confiscated mobile phones from the victims, their spouses, and anyone else present in their homes. The whereabouts of those abducted remain unknown, leaving the community in a state of fear and uncertainty.
In response to the harrowing event, the community is urgently appealing to all police stations and commands within the vicinity, the Commissioner of Police, the Inspector General, the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, and the Olu of Itori Kingdom, Oba Fatai Akamo for rescue and intervention. The pressing question remains: who orchestrated these kidnappings? Was it the police, hoodlums, or the notorious land grabbers?
The community is fervently hoping that their desperate plea will reach the right authorities and lead to swift action. The sense of hopelessness and fear is palpable as the residents anxiously await news of their leaders’ fate.
As the situation unfolds, the people of Adunbun are determined to stand united and seek justice for their abducted leaders, hoping that light will soon pierce through the darkness enveloping their community.
