Tinubu’s Certificates : Four (4) Companies Tinubu Worked With Before Venturing Into Politics

The social media was awashed with diverse reactions on Wednesday, following the sharp disagreements that ensued between a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George and a former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe over the suitability of the All Progressives Congress National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the next presidency.
Ogunlewe while speaking had insisted that Tinubu’s leadership quality, political structure and pedigree, makes him the perfect man for the presidential seat, however, George on the other hand, argued that the former Lagos state Governor is not fit to be Nigerian President when one considers the way he ran Lagos State as governor, coupled with diverse corruption allegations against him in the past and present.
Additionally, George also stated that Tinubu is outrightly unfit to rule the country because he doesn’t possess the educational background required, saying Tinubu can’t tender his school certificates because he doesn’t have them.

George’s statement reads in part: “I can bet you, any amount of money let Bola bring out the certificate of his Primary School, the Secondary School, and the university he attended. We want to see them.”
But contrary to George’s assertion, information gathered revealed that the APC national leader has worked in no fewer than four companies (both abroad and in Nigeria) which would have required him to tender his certificates, before he could have been employed.
Tinubu worked for the American companies Arthur Andersen, one of the largest public accounting firms in the 1990s which was based in Chicago.
He also worked with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, which is also an auditing firm.
Additionally, before returning to Nigeria, he worked in GTE Services Corporation, which was the largest independent telephone company in the United States during the days of the Bell System.
Similarly, on returning to Nigeria in 1983, Tinubu joined Mobil Oil Nigeria, and later became an executive of the company.
Tinubu who attended Chicago State University, graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Accounting.
Consequently, as reactions continues to trail the contentious issue raised by Chief Bode George against Tinubu, many Nigerians look forward to see what the reaction of the APC national leader who is currently in London would be.
Similarly, in your view, do you agree that the APC should zone it’s presidential ticket to the South as being demanded by the Governors in that region ?
