Rapper Falz The Bhad Guy, comedian Mr Macaroni, and others have stormed the Lekki toll gate to stage a procession in memorial of lives lost during the #EndSARS protest of October 2020.
The activists plan to have a car procession with horns blaring and flags waving at the toll gate where protesters are believed to have been shot and killed.
This is despite warnings from the Lagos Police Command against the breakdown of law and order in the state.
Meanwhile, the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has said the Lekki shooting of October 20, 2020, will be hidden forever if Asiwaju Bola Tinubu becomes president.
Tinubu is the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress and former governor of Lagos State where the shooting took place.
The shooting was carried out by security forces to disperse youths protesting against police brutality and bad governance.
According to HURWA, “The youths are heroes. Nobody should have any regrets. They should not give up on the struggle for good governance. And as we move closer to elections, they should make sure that Tinubu does not smell the power.
“If somebody like Tinubu becomes Nigerian president, Lekki killings will be hidden forever”.
In memory of the event, Nigerians have taken to social media to express how they fefeel.
