Anigbogu Stephnora Nkechi (born January 24, 1990) is a Nigerian fashion designer, business administrator and entrepreneur. She is the Founder and Creative Director of StephNora Fashion House, a Lagos-based premium menswear label specializing in bespoke Agbada, Kaftan and corporate wear. She is the recipient of the African Female Fashion Designer of the Year 2024 at the African Fashion Designer Awards.
Early Life and Education
Anigbogu Stephnora Nkechi was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Anigbogu. She is of Igbo origin and of the Christian faith.
She had her primary and secondary education at Salama Primary School and Salama High School, Jos, graduating in 2001 and 2007 respectively. From an early age, she developed a keen interest in fashion, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship – interests that would later define her career path.
Career
Anigbogu began her fashion journey from a small tailoring spot in Ago Palace, Okota, Lagos.
On March 24, 2018, she officially founded StephNora Fashion House. What started as a neighborhood tailor shop has evolved into a full bespoke menswear empire with operational hubs at 49 Ago Palace Way, Okota and 31A Isaac John Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

Speaking on the brand’s growth, Anigbogu noted: “Ago Palace taught us hustle, Ikeja GRA taught us class, and now Togo is teaching us expansion. This is not just about opening a new branch. This is about proving that a Nigerian menswear brand built by a young woman can dress the whole continent.”

At the 6th & 7th edition of the African Fashion Designer Awards, Anigbogu Stephnora Nkechi was honored as the winner of African Female Fashion Designer of the Year 2024, an award that cemented her position as one of Nigeria’s most talked-about young fashion forces.
