The paramount ruler of Nortem Bori Communities in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers state, His Royal Highness, Sir Lenu Tsaro Igbara (Gbene-Tee Koo IX), says the ex-Chief of Army Staff and former Nigerian Envoy to the Republic of Benin, Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai (rtd), has displayed his chunk will for the unity of Nigeria.
King Tsaro-Igbara stated this on Tuesday in Abuja on the occasion of the public presentation of the Children Book and Animated Narration of “The Legend of Buratai” written by Dr Abubakar Sani in honour of the former army chief.
The monarch, who was the Royal Father of the Day at the occasion, tasked the Federal Government to place education as a core priority, suggesting the inculcation of skill acquisition after primary and secondary education just as it is in the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. He said, “an idle mind is a devil’s workshop. If we can bridge this gap, I can see that in the next ten years when we shall have a new generation of youths in Nigeria, the idea of violence would have been defeated.” To surmount the current security challenges facing the country, the royal father urged the government to take deliberate steps to increase the manpower of the armed forces.
