It is no more news that auto tycoon and socialite, Alhaji Lanre Shittu who is the Founder/Chairman of Lanre Shittu Motors, died yesterday. His death came as a rude shock to everyone, when the news broke, online.

 

The prominent businessman and Auto Dealer died around the mid-night of Sunday 26th/Monday 27th February 2023.

 

 

The remains of the popular auto dealer, Alhaji Rasaki Olanrewaju Shittu was laid to rest today, Tuesday, 28th February 2023 according to Islamic rites at the Vaults & Gardens Ltd at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) close, Ikoyi, Lagos at 1.00pm. He has been sick for a while.

 

The 8-days Fidau Prayer will hold on the 7th of March, 2023. He was survived by wives, children and grandchildren. One of them is Omobolanle Shittu, whose friends rallied round her at the burial. The colour code was a touch of Purple.

He was born on 8th January 1958. He died around mid-night of the morning of 27th February 2023 –

 

In his lifetime, he was a big auto dealer. He had a big auto showroom in Surulere and many parts of Lagos and the South-West. In Lagos, everyone knows the name Lanre Shittu, for cars. He was the Founder & Chairman of Lanre Shittu Group of Companies which has a big car dealership.

 

He was survived by his aged mum.

 

Many important dignitaries attended the event. Many car dealers were there.

 

A lot of society women also attended. And many Big Boys showed up.

 

In his lifetime, he was very popular as an auto dealer and socialite.

 

He was a successful entrepreneur and the number one dealer of Mack Trucks in Africa, holding the sole franchise for Mack brand vehicles in Nigeria. He was also the only dealer of Sany heavy duty equipment and Yutong buses in Nigeria.

 

The successful businessman was also a licensed dealer of KIA, NISSAN, JINBEI buses, and was the leading supplier of genuine spare parts to automobile dealers in Nigeria and others.
