It was an honour to receive our former Vice President, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, as we unveiled the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan. I am also thankful to my brother governors, His Excellency Arakunrin Rotimi Akerdolu and His Excellency Godwin Obaseki, who graced the event.
I thank our guests, NK Tabor Sezana of Slovenia and former Super Eagles Players 94/98, for honouring our invitation to the international friendly and novelty matches, respectively. I enjoyed being part of the novelty match despite the rain.
I also thank all who attended the event and the good people of Oyo State for their support. We will continue to upgrade sporting facilities in Oyo State to boost our economy, and give our young people opportunities to hone their talents to become world-class athletes.
On a lighter note, as I predicted a year ago, our darling 3SC beat the visiting Slovenian side, NK Tabor Sežana by a whopping 4:0. We look forward to hosting more international matches in our FIFA rated stadium.
