The November 4 event will bring together music, recognition and Yoruba cultural celebration, with Fuji star Sulaimon Alao Malaika named Artist of the Day.

Nigerian singer Yeesha LadyBarry is preparing for a major moment in her musical journey as she gets set to launch her album, Yeesha LadyBarry Debut 1.0, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Jevinik Place, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

The event, organised by LadyBarry Music Entertainment, will feature an album launch and award presentation alongside the Timeless Barrister Celebration Day, bringing together music and cultural heritage for an occasion centred on the singer and her work.

For LadyBarry, the upcoming launch comes amid an active period of recording and releases. Her catalogue includes Fuji Dynamic, Adun, Ibimobade, Omoniyi and Wura Mi, among other recordings available on digital music platforms. Her releases across 2025 and 2026 reflect her continued engagement with the recording side of the industry as she prepares to give her latest project a dedicated launch.

Her musical identity also sits within the wider Fuji tradition, a genre deeply rooted in Yoruba culture and shaped by generations of performers. The upcoming celebration references the legacy of the late Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, one of Fuji music’s most influential pioneers. His place in the genre’s history provides a cultural backdrop to the occasion, which combines the presentation of LadyBarry’s project with a celebration carrying broader significance.

The event will also feature Alh. Sulaimon Alao Malaika as Artist of the Day, while Sheikh Ahmad Buhari Almustapha is listed as the sponsor. The planned award presentation adds another dimension to the programme, although further details about the awards and their recipients have yet to be established.

Beyond the music, preparations have extended to the release of aso-ebi packages for guests and supporters who wish to participate in the celebration in coordinated traditional attire. The available options are six yards of fabric with gele for ₦35,000, four yards with gele for ₦30,000, and four yards with a cap for ₦25,000.

With the date approaching, Debut 1.0 offers LadyBarry an opportunity to bring her recorded work into the spotlight through a dedicated event while drawing together music, cultural expression and celebration. The occasion also places her ongoing recording activities within the context of a genre whose enduring appeal continues to connect established traditions with contemporary audiences.

The album launch is scheduled for November 4 at Jevinik Place, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
