As 2023 draws close, many Nigerians have been wondering who will take over from the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the general election.

Former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar and former Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are among the top politicians in Nigeria who are aspiring and gearing up to become Nigeria’s next president come 2023.

But Comrade Eugene Onyeka Ugowke, Financial secretary, advocate for the Deltan Way Foundation and PRO, Restore Nigeria integrity,Delta State chapter have asked both men to shield their aspiration of ruling the country and support a young, vibrant and intelligent Nigerian to emerge as the next president so as to help move the country forward.

According to Comrade Eugene Onyeka Ugowke, Atiku Abubakar and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should perish the idea of leading the country come 2023 as both men have nothing to offer again.

He insisted that Nigeria needs to move from the old order which both men represents to new order spare headed by a young and vibrant Nigerian that can lead the country out of this economic, political and security bondage that’s bedeviling the country at the moment.

“We can’t keep going back and forth with these men of yesterday and expects to move forward, they’ve been on this stage for far too long and have contributed in no small measure in the mess the country is in at the moment. We need young and vibrant people to step forward and take over the mantle of leadership in the country, we just can’t continue like this”.

Comrade Eugene Onyeka Ugowke insisted that the likes of Tinubu and Atiku has nothing more to offer the country.

“Is there any law that says Atiku or Tinubu must be president of Nigeria? both men have been on the Nigerian political stage for far too long and are part of the leaders who plugged this country into the mess we found ourselves at the moment. Nigeria is not made for them alone”
